I was able to keep the commit history for the original spring session data mongo code, and that has already been merged into main.
This PR gets the codebase so it can build and run tests in preparation for a release by ourselves. The commits themselves will be kept - rather than squashed and merged so each step is logical.
Note: This PR does not aim to change any functionality of the previously released code. It just brings it up to our coding standard eg: spotless. The project borrows configuration from the hibernate extension, such as spotless license config, the build.gradle.kts layout and the error prone / nullAway configuration.
